Injured Workers Should Not Stand Alone

Markus R. Urstoeger

Markus Urstoeger has fought for the rights and benefits of injured workers at the California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board since September of 1998. He has worked on more than 3,000 workers compensation cases and 300 plus trials to help workers receive their benefits. With his knowledge and experience of workers’ compensation law, he provides expert guidance and assistance to his clients. He takes charge of the case from the filing of the application to the final decision.

While the majority of his practice is dedicated to representing injured workers, Markus successfully represents claimants to obtain Social Security disability benefits since 2013.

Markus grew up in West Germany and emigrated to the United States prior to Germany’s reunification. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991. He earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the California State Bar in January 1998. He became a Certified Specialist in Workers Compensation in 2015, and a partner with the firm on January 1, 2018. He is the local Chapter President of the California Applicants Attorneys Association since 2018.

In his personal life, Markus loves to travel and explore the world with his family. He supports the local music venues and still dreams of learning to play the accordion.
