Jeffrey R. Duarte

Jeffrey Duarte grew up in Fresno, California. From the age of 10 he dreamed of becoming an attorney. He moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of California at Los Angeles, graduating in 1993. His childhood dream became reality when, after college, in 1993 he traveled up Highway 99 to Sacramento where he attended McGeorge School of Law, in Sacramento, graduating in 1996.

In 1997 he started to practice workers' compensation law in Modesto, helping injured workers across the entire Central Valley. Why Modesto? First, its small town atmosphere was the type of place that he wanted to raise a family. Second, the Central Valley has exactly the type of clientele that he is looking to help and that he felt need his assistance. The Central Valley contains a cross section of society, including farm laborers, seasonal workers, and plant workers, commuters to the Bay Area, service workers and construction laborers.

As a workers compensation attorney, Mr. Duarte has spent his entire legal career working on behalf of injured workers. Since 2002, he has been a Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law. In 2003, he joined Frailing, Rockwell, & Kelly. After five years, he became a partner in the law firm, which is now called Rockwell, Kelly & Duarte, LLP. In 2004, Mr. Duarte extended his goal of helping people by undertaking representation of disabled people and helping them obtain Social Security disability and Medicare benefits.

Mr. Duarte is also a member of the Board of Directors for the California Applicant Attorneys Association (CAAA), and is Chapter President of the Stockton Chapter of CAAA. He will also be joining State Bar Workers’ Compensation Law Advisory Commission in October 2015.
